Drawing friends and relatives is one of the hardest things you'll ever do. No matter how hard you work, it just isn't quite right. This book tells you why, and teaches you how to make great portrait sketches.Like everything, learning to draw takes work. What I've always felt was lacking in my own education was a systematic approach to drawing people that would give me a good likeness in a few minutes. It takes practice, but with this book one can learn how to draw reasonable charcoal and pencil sketches of heads in about 10 minutes once you master the technique. I almost hate to say that because the competition in art is so tough NOW, I dread the thought of creating even MORE good artists... but I had to give it an honest review - so there you go.
